Paintings of Oregon

I am an artist and award-winning newspaper arts writer living in Creswell, Oregon, and have been painting for about 10 years. I started out working on hand colored black and white photographs, which I still love to do, but gradually began painting more and photographing less.

My favorite subject is the Oregon landscape, from the lush forests of western Oregon to the big-sky deserts of eastern Oregon.

My painting style is loose and expressionistic. I have been most influenced by Northwest painters of the early to mid 20th century: such artists as Carl Morris, C.S. Price, Charles Heaney and David McCosh.
